Modern technology is great when it is working well but with any product there can be times when things don’t quite work out and have issues, and now we have news of the AppleCare Plus iPhone replacement coverage for travellers.
It has emerged that Apple has altered the terms and conditions of its AppleCare+ service and removing geographic restrictions on support, which will mean that travellers can get their handset serviced when going overseas.
This will mean that owners of the iPhone or other Apple hardware in any country where the protection plan can be purchased, and even includes Apple displays and Mac models besides iOS devices can get help when things go wrong.
Not all countries will offer replacements or repairs though as the terms and conditions highlights the CDMA version of the iPhone 5 that can’t be serviced or replaced in regions where it isn’t sold, such as Brazil.
This is obviously a move by the company to further strengthen its after sales service which has long been praised by many owners of Apple products, although there will always been room for improvement.
AppleCare+ is currently offered in Austria, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, UK, and US for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod.
