Sony has provided consumers with a lot of new mobile tech this year with some highly desirable hardware being released, and now the Sony Xperia Z1, Xperia Z Ultra, and Smartwatch 2 hit the US unlocked.
While the company has stated that it will for now be concentrating most of its efforts on the European and Japanese markets, it hasn’t stopped the company launching some of its flagship mobile devices in the US market.
None of them are currently available via a carrier subsidy though but instead via Sony’s own online store, and the Sony Xperia Z1 will set you back a cool $649.99 without LTE. For your money you get a 5-inch Full HD Triluminous display powered by the quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM.
There is the 20.7-megapixel rear camera with Sony’s Exmor RS sensor paired with a 2MP front facer. Internal storage comes in at 16GB with expansion possible via microSD card and will come running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.
While the Sony Xperia Z1 Ultra that will be taken on the likes of the recently announced HTC One Max will cost $649.99 for the 3G version or $679.99 to add LTE. This has a massive 6.4-inch 1080p display with the same internal specifications as the Xperia Z1 along with dust and waterproofing.
If you fancy a smartwatch that will work with a number of different Android smartphones the Sony SmartWatch 2 can be yours for $199.99. Unlike the Galaxy Gear this will work with handsets running Android 4.0 or later and brings a 1.6-inch display with a resolution of 220 x 176 where you can get notifications from your mobile device.
