Each time that Samsung launches a new flagship smartphone it brings with it some new features besides the specifications, and these are often promised for older handsets with future firmware updates. Now some Samsung Galaxy Note 3 features have been working on the Galaxy Note 2 before the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update.
The Galaxy Note 3 comes with a number of new features when compared to last year’s model, which is still a great handset despite being around a year old now. The Galaxy Note 2 is due to receive the Android 4.3 update before the end of the year which should bring a number of these new features to the handset, but already an XDA-Developers member has managed to get a few of them already working on the device.
These include Air Command, Pen Window, Screen Writer, Scrapbook Action Memo and a number of other features to the older device. Not everything is working correctly at the moment which can often be the case for custom ROMs, which is why we advise you to only install such software at your own risk.
The mod which is now on its third version needs more work done to remove unnecessary files according to user Titooo7 who is responsible for it, but otherwise its quite functional.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 is also set to get some new features that are ported over from the Galaxy S4 at some point, which should also come in the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update that is due to be released in the coming weeks.
Are you looking forward to the extra features coming to the Galaxy Note 2?
