Galaxy S5 camera spec confirmed, better low light photos
We have been hearing a number of rumours and also some titbits from the company themselves regarding next year’s flagship smartphones from Samsung, and now the Galaxy S5 camera spec has been confirmed that will provide better low light photos.
Only a few days ago we heard some details about the camera modules that will be fitted to the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 4 next year, and now the company has announced that its flagship handsets in 2014 and 2015 will feature a 16-megapixel ISOCELL camera sensor.
This ISOCELL sensor is Samsung’s new technology for mobile phone cameras and according to the company it improves picture quality by physically isolating individual pixels, and the company revealed this news at its recent Analyst day.
It should easily mean that both the Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 4 will feature this new technology and along with the 560ppi pixel density displays that have also tipped to be coming next year the company could really have some standout handsets available for consumers in 2014.
A lot has been made on smartphone cameras and their low light capabilities and this new ISOCELL technology is promised to really improve this. Both the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4 this year saw camera specifications that brought 13-megapixel rear cameras but it’s not always the amount of pixels that guarantee quality images.
The company didn’t make any announcement of supplying cameras with OIS next year which is another feature that proves popular.
Are you looking forward to the flagship handsets from Samsung next year?
