The Motorola Moto G has really made the smartphone world sit up and take notice since it was officially announced, as we have a pretty good looking smartphone with specs to match but at a low cost to the consumer, now we have news that major UK retailer Tesco Mobile smashes its rivals with the Motorola Moto G price discount.
We have already given you the pricing for the Motorola Moto G from Phones 4u but Tesco customers are in for a treat as the device is now available via the online Tesco Direct website, and is priced at only £99 for the 8GB version of the device.
This is for the Tesco Mobile pay as you go option and the 16GB version can be had for only £149.99 but we have it on good information the 16GB model will be going down to £129 in the next few hours. The stock of both models is likely to go really quick at this price and compares to Phones 4u that are offering the handset starting at £119.95 plus a £10 top up voucher.
These prices along with the release of the Tesco Hudl Tablet recently shows that the retailer really means business in the mobile world going forward, and to quickly recap the Moto G features a 4.5-inch 720p touchscreen display with 326ppi pixel density.
Under the hood we have a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with 1GB of RAM and the Adreno 305 GPU taking care of graphics, and the device will run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Android 4.4 KitKat promised for January.
There is a 5-megapixel rear facing camera with LED flash and 720p video capture with a 1.3-megapixel unit around the front. It has to be remembered that if you have any Tesco Clubcard vouchers these can be doubled against the purchase of the smartphone.
Update: Both versions of the Moto G have now sold out but we have reliable information that more stock will be available online from Friday and across stores from Monday but be quick at this price they will sell out fast.
