2013 was quite a good year for Sony in the smartphone world with the company launching a number of new handsets that won many plaudits from reviewers and owners alike. Now though thoughts have turned to this year and a new flagship Sony Sirius phone has been rumoured along with its specs.
We heard earlier how we may see the Sony Xperia Z1 Mini unveiled later today at CES 2014, but there are rumours that the company has two flagship smartphones in the pipeline for release this year with one of them claimed to be unveiled at CES 1014.
This device has the codename of Sirius and will allegedly sport a 5.2-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440, and will be powered by the new Qualcomm quad core Snapdragon 805 processor paired with a cool 3GB of RAM.
Other specifications are rumoured to include a 20.7-megapixel rear facing camera with a Sony G lens with the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system on board, and keeping everything switched on is rumoured to be a massive 3,500 mAh battery unit.
The other flagship smartphone that has the codename of Canopus and is expected later in the year but at the time of writing there is no information regarding the specifications for this handset.
