TravelSim user base saves $200m in download charges
Top Connect’s TravelSim, the world’s leading international pre-paid communications service, today announced that its growing 3.5 million user base collectively saved over $200 million in calling and data download charges in 2013.
The figure compares TravelSim’s service with costs that would have been amassed if its user base had paid standard roaming charges from their local providers when travelling abroad.
Thanks to its agreements with tier one GSM providers around the globe, TravelSim provides a high quality, low cost service that can save customers up to 85% on making calls while abroad. It also offers free incoming calls in 140 countries and free worldwide SMS. The TravelSim product can be used in 190 countries.
TravelSim’s user base is made up of direct users and customers of mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) across the world. About 60% are business travellers.
TravelSim’s user base increases by around 80,000 per month. By end 2014, it will grow to plus 4 million with a resulting increase in calling and data download savings for the firm’s user base when abroad.
TravelSim will again be present at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this year (24-27 February) and its senior management will be pleased to meet potential distributors and the press during the 3 day show.
