Sony Xperia T Android 4.4 KitKat update release rumour
While we are seeing more Android hardware upgraded to the latest version of the operating system, there are others that are still waiting for the final version of Jelly Bean, and one such device the Sony Xperia T is the subject of an Android 4.4 KitKat update release rumour.
We recently heard about a number of Sony handsets that were not going to receive any more firmware support from Sony, but it seems as if the Sony Xperia T has escaped from being left behind as a new rumour is suggesting that the handset could see the Android 4.4 KitKat update in a couple of months.
It is being claimed that Sony has decided to provide the handset with KitKat which will bring a number of changes to the handset once it finally arrives, which include changes to the user interface, bug fixes, improved camera app, and an enhanced white and balance app.
The report goes on by claiming that the new firmware could be released for the handset by the end of April, but you have to consider that the Sony Xperia T is still waiting to be treated to the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS, although a build for this has been leaked recently and the Sony Xperia M firmware is also set for testing.
So for now a dose of salt is needed but hopefully there is some truth in this rumour so owners of the handset can at least look forward to getting a taste of KitKat eventually.
Do you think the Sony Xperia T will see KitKat in April?
