HTC has been having a tough time of it in recent times in spite of releasing the much loved HTC One almost a year ago now, but there are some new reports that are suggesting that later this year HTC is going to release a top end Nexus tablet PC.
Last year we only saw the new Nexus 7 device become available that was made again by Asus, but going on recent comments Google is keen for the Nexus series to grow following some positive sales results for the Nexus 5.
Now it is being claimed that HTC has won an order with Google to produce a high end Nexus tablet for release during the third quarter of 2014. It is not known what the high end part of the order means and what size the supposed tablet PC will be.
Many fans of the Nexus line of devices have been waiting for the elusive Nexus 10 2 to be released, and so far nothing has been seen. So far HTC has remained silent on the rumour and even if it is true the company wouldn’t be allowed to spill the beans before any official announcement at the tablets launch.
HTC were responsible for Google’s first Nexus smartphone back in 2010, and so far the company’s venture into tablet PCs hasn’t exactly captured the buying public’s imagination. The HTC Flyer was launched in the early part of 2011 with the HTC Jetstream coming later the same year.
