The Samsung Galaxy Note series of handsets has grown in popularity since it was first launched a few years ago, and this year the company has introduced a more affordable model to the line up. Today we have news of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo that is currently available in a discounted price for India.

Samsung made the handset official a few weeks ago while yesterday the company launched the device for consumers in India and gave the Galaxy Note 3 Neo a price of Rs. 40,990. Now the handset has been put up on the official Samsung website for pre-order but the smartphone has the discounted price of Rs. 38,990.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo listing on the Samsung website notes that only 1,000 units are available for pre-booking and is only available in the Black Mist colour option. At the time of writing the website is still showing stock is available, and it is not clear if the price will go back up once this stock has been exhausted.

To recap the Galaxy Note 3 Neo features a 5.5-inch display at a 720p resolution that is powered by the new Hexa core processor depending on the region, which has two 1.7GHz cores with four 1.3GHz cores.

There is 2GB of RAM with 16GB of internal storage expandable up to 64GB via microSD card, and running the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system. There is an 8-megapixel rear facing camera paired with a 2-megapixel front facer.

The device comes with the Samsung S Pen stylus along with many of the Galaxy Note 3 smart features pre-installed.
