There are a growing number of mini versions of flagship smartphones as yesterday we saw the LG G2 Mini officially launched with some disappointing specs, but now we have news of the impressive Sony Z1 Compact availability and price for India.
The Sony Xperia Z1 Compact can certainly be called a true Mini device as it shares most of the same specifications as the full sized model but in a smaller form factor. Now the device has been made available in India via online retailer Infibeam at a price of Rs. 36,990.
It is available in black, pink, and lime colour options and at the time of writing is showing that the device is in stock with shipping in 2 to 3 days. The handset has also been listed on the official Sony website for the same price with links to authorised Sony dealers.
To recap the handset features a 4.3-inch Triluminos Display with X-Reality engine at a 720p resolution, while under the hood we have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad core processor clocked at 2.2GHz.
This is paired with 2GB of RAM running the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system while on the rear of the device we have a 20.7-megapixel camera with a 2.2-megapixel front facer. There is 16GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 64GB via microSD card and a 2,300 mAh battery, while the handset is dust and waterproof.
