Mid-range Huawei Ascend G6 official details
New of upcoming phones is flooding in thick and fast at the moment from MWC 2014, and now Huawei has announced the Ascend G6. This smartphone has been rumored for some time and we now have the mid-range Huawei Ascend G6 smartphone official details.
When we first heard of the Ascend G6 we said it could be a budget version of the popular Huawei Ascend P6. Now the mid-range Ascend G6 has been unveiled and it definitely seems to have been inspired by the flagship P6, though of course there are some significant differences for this affordable version.
Specs of the Ascend G6 include a 1.2GHz quad-core processor but the chip is unspecified. There will be a 3G-only model released in Q1 followed by a 4G LTE version of the phone in April. The 3G variant will be 7.5mm thick while the 4G model comes in at 7.85mm.
It has a 4.5-inch qHD LCD display with resolution of 960 x 540 and 245 ppi, a 2000 mAh battery, and it will feature the Emotion UI. The camera set-up exists of an 8-megapixel rear facing camera with Sony IMX134 sensor, LED flash unit and f/2.0 aperture, as well as a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
Color options of the 4G LTE version of the phone are black with light gunmetal grey or rose gold accents, or white with pink or champagne gold. The 3G model will be available in black, blue, gold, pink or white, and both handset colors may vary by region.
We haven’t been given pricing for the 3G version but the LTE variety will be priced at €249, that’s around $342 or £205. Does the Huawei Ascend G6 sound like a phone that would interest you?
