Another smartphone in the Wickedleak Passion lineup has been introduced today. The Wammy Passion X for India is a water-resistant device and is also the first octa-core processor smartphone by the company. We have the Wammy Passion X launch price and specs for your consideration.

Back in November the Wammy Titan X was launched with a quad-core processor and this time the Passion X steps up to a 1.7GHz MediaTek MTK6592 octa-core CPU. The new handset also has a 5-inch IPS display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 and 443 ppi, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD to 64GB).

Further specs of the Wammy Passion X include a 13-megapixel rear camera with BSI sensor and LED flash, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 2500 mAh battery. It’s a dual SIM (GSM+GSM) handset with dual standby while connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, AGPS, GPRS and EDGE.

Many potential buyers may be impressed by the company’s use of AquaProtect technology for the device that is said to make it ‘super hydrophobic.’ This is said to offer protection for the handsets components for exposure to water or water-based liquids for up to 30 minutes. However it’s worth noting this is not the same as some of the high-end smartphones around that offer IP57 certification standard for waterproofing.

The Passion X runs the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system and its dimensions are 141mm x 69mm x 8.95mm, weighing in at 150g. The price of the Wammy Passion X is Rs. 22,500.
