If you have the Nexus 7 2013 tablet, aka Nexus 7 2, then we have some news about charging docks. New Nexus 7 charging accessories have now been announced and these are Asus docks. We also have a video showing these accessories that are on the way.
The first accessory is the Asus Dock for the Nexus 7 (2013), which is compatible for this model of the tablet only. It has a built-in USB port for recharging and can hold the device at a 60-degree viewing angle in either portrait or landscape mode.
The tablet simply slides in to hook up to the dock and you can also project the display of the device to a television thanks to an HDMI port. This accessory will be priced at $49.99.
The other accessory that Asus has just announced is the Asus PW100 Wireless Charging Stand. This refreshes the battery of your tablet without the need for wires via the Qi charging system. It’s easy to swap from portrait to landscape and the device can be supported at a 60-degree angle.
Apart from being compatible with the Nexus 7 (2013) this can also be used with other devices using the Qi standard. The pyramid shape stand features an LED indicator showing when the device is charging and this accessory is priced at $89.99.
Asus has not yet give a release date for these but the fact that the company has issued an official video promoting them indicates that they should be coming soon. When available they will be sold by Amazon and some other retailers.
