Gionee Elife S5.5 design sparkles in hands-on look
There are some amazing new handsets about to release and one that might be worth considering is the Gionee Elife S5.5. This will release first in China this month, followed by around 40 more regions worldwide with an LTE version also planned for June. Today we have a Gionee Elife S5.5 hands-on video look to show you.
Not long ago we detailed the Gionee Elife S5.5 specs, color options and more, and as Gionee handsets are very often extremely popular in India we also gave a price indicator for the phone there. Highlights of the phone include a 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor, 5-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD resolution, and 2GB of RAM.
It also has a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and 2300 mAh battery, and it runs the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system with the Amigo 2.0 UI. It’s always good to get some close-up looks at a new smartphone before deciding whether to buy it or not, and the YouTube video that we have embedded beneath this story shows the Gionee Elife S5.5 to be a very good-looking handset.
The hands-on experience describes how the 5.5 in the phone’s title refers to the thickness of the phone at only 5.5mm, so this phone is extremely slim and a real engineering achievement. The video goes on to describe the display and show a hardware tour of the phone giving some specs along the way.
Finally you’ll see a brief look at the software experience. This is a premium smartphone with a sleek appearance and some impressive specs and the video offers an initial overview of the device. We’d really like to hear your views on this upcoming Gionee smartphone so do please send us your comments.
Do you approve of the specs and design of the Gionee Elife S5.5? Is this a device you might consider buying when it releases in your region?
