Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo vs Galaxy Grand 2 spec observation

The Samsung range of smartphones is increasing all the time with new handsets constantly being launched and toady we are looking at two of the slightly larger devices in a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo vs. Galaxy Grand 2 spec observation.

Both of these handsets were made available this year to consumers that want something a little larger in terms of screen size, and both of these handsets don’t disappoint with the Galaxy Note 3 Neo recently being launched in India.

Display
The Galaxy Note 3 Neo has a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive display at a resolution of 720 x 1280 and 267ppi pixel density, which compares to the Grand 2 that has a 5.25 TFT capacitive touchscreen display at the same resolution and 280ppi pixel density.

Processor
Under the hood of the Note 3 Neo is the Hexa Core Exynos 5260 processor that has four cores clocked at 1.3GHz with two cores running at 1.7GHz. This compares to the Galaxy Grand 2 that has the quad core Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz.

Ram & Storage
The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 has 1.5GB of RAM with 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card, while the Note 3 Neo has 2GB of RAM with 16GB of onboard storage expandable by microSD card up to 64GB.

Cameras
The Neo has an 8-meagpixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash that is capable of 1080p video capture at 30fps, while around the front we have a 1080p 2-megapixel shooter. The Grand 2 meanwhile has also has a rear camera with an 8-megapixel sensor with autofocus and LED flash, which is also capable of Full HD video recording at 30fps, and around the front is a 1.9-megapixel camera.

Operating System
Running on the Galaxy Grand 2 and Galaxy Note 3 Neo is currently the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system.

Battery & Measurements
The Note 3 Neo has a 3,100 mAh battery promising up to 18 hours of 3G talk time fitting into a body measuring 148.4mm x 77.4mm x 8.6 mm weighing 162.5 grams, while the Grand 2 comes with a 2,600 mAh battery that should provide up to 17 hours of 3G talk time with the device measuring 146.8mm x 75.3mm x 8.9 mm and weighing 163 grams.
