The HTC Desire 816 was recently officially introduced at MWC, Barcelona with a release set to roll out over the next few months for various regions. This is a mid-range handset and it now appears that it will be available in more colors than we originally expected.

When the Desire 816 (originally known as the Desire 8) was first launched we knew that it would be available in black, gray, green, indigo (dark blue), red or white choices. However, an official HTC webpage in China now shows the 816 in some different color options, yellow and pink.

The phone will release in China first at some point this month, with other regions to follow. It has also been rumoured that in the US the handset will be carried by both AT&T and Sprint, although this is not confirmed.

It’s always good to be able to choose a preference from a range of hues. However, it could be the case that all colors won’t be available in all regions or from all carriers, so it’s a case of wait and see for now.
