The idea of the Apple iWatch has already spurred plenty of concept designs and today we want to show you a new render that could turn heads, along with a video look at it. It would be interesting to hear what readers think of this concept solar-charged iWatch?
This comes from one of our favourite concept designers, the talented Jermaine Smit, and gives us some tantalizing possibilities of what an iWatch could offer. It’s difficult to see exactly what the materials are but this render does look sleek, despite the fact that it’s pretty large. If you look closely you can see a Home button beneath the display.
The edge-to edge 2.3-inch curved screen is something that could appeal to many, and owners can combine colors with a switchable band. Smit has also come up with some further specs for his iWatch creation, including a 2.1-megapixel camera and 400 mAh battery. The watch features a solar panel and users simply need to flick a switch to re-charge.
We think this is one of Smit’s best concepts so far, and after you’ve taken a look at the video below we’d like to hear your views about it. Can you imagine wearing an iWatch like this?
