It looks like Apple could be rolling out new video iAds later this year that will automatically play full-screen within iPhone and iPad apps.
At the moment someone has to click a mobile banner for a brand’s video iAd to play, this seems like a big change as this could ruin the “Apple Experience”, it has long been thought that Android was the place for adverts but it seems as though Apple also want more control and offerings for their own advertising platform.
The in-app video ads may be a way for Apple to rekindle advertisers interests in its fancy but flawed iAds.
iAds were unveiled in 2010, but they’ve failed to gain market share with Google still being number 1 when it comes to mobile advertising.
