There has been plenty said and written about the Samsung Galaxy S5 so far and a lot of interest shown in its camera capabilities and the fact that it can shoot 4K video. Today we want to share a Samsung Galaxy S5 4K video sample so that you can get an idea of how it performs.
The upcoming S5 packs a 16-megapixel rear camera with video recording at 2160p@30fps or 1080p@60fps, and video stabilization, as well as a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone won’t release until next month but the YouTube video below stems from a user in Mexico who has managed to get early access to the device and shot the video in 4K (3840 x 2160).
The larger flash unit of the Galaxy S5 is seen at the start of the video, so the video does appear to be credible. It demonstrates that during motion and when zooming in, the new flagship can focus much more quickly. One thing to bear in mind though is how much space it takes up on your device when taking 4K video.
Check out the 4-minute video below to see the 4K video footage (remember to pick 2160p) and let us know what you think. Are you impressed by what you see?
