It wasn’t too long ago that we were discussing a Yahoo voice-assistant app and it’s not too much of a stretch to think that Yahoo might eventually reach into mobile device production. Now concept designer Mohammad Najjari has come up with a Yahoo y! smartphone creation, offering a teaser for what could come to fruition one day.
Najjari has also come up with some specs for his Yahoo phone concept render including an 8-megapixel rear camera and 3.2-megapixel front-facing shooter. It supports 3G and 4G LTE connectivity and would be available in three different options of internal storage, 16, 32 or 64GBs. The edge-to-edge display is probably around 5-inches with Full HD or 720p resolution.
The y! runs Android 4.4 KitKat and a phone such as this would be an affordable handset, focused more on user experience perhaps than top-flight specs. The design of the handset looks rather simplistic, but then this doesn’t appear to be a phone that would offer anything groundbreaking. Do you think Yahoo might enter the smartphone market at some point?
