Just a few days after we informed readers that the Nokia Lumia 630 had stopped off at the FCC, it now appears that the Nokia Lumia 635 has also been spotted at the regulatory commission. The Lumia 635 has been rumored as a dual SIM handset while the 630 is thought to be a single SIM version of the same device.
A Nokia phone with model number RM-979 has appeared on the FCC database and fits the bill as the Lumia 635. It’s shown as having two SIM slots and also as running a version of Windows Phone 8. It has been previously thought that the Lumia 630 and 635 will launch running the upcoming Windows Phone 8.1 update and this means they will be among the first devices to do so.
We recently showed a leaked press image of the Lumia 630 and of course the Lumia 635 will look the same. The FCC filing shows the same dimensions as the 630 filing last week, at 129.5mm in height and 66.7mm wide, and also shows the battery will be user-replaceable.
We expect that that the Lumia 635 and 630 could be revealed at an event due to take place next month so will bring you news as we hear it. Are you waiting for either of these Lumia phones.
