Panasonic Toughpad UT-MB5 4K tablet could finally start shipping
The Panasonic Toughpad 4K 20-inch tablet was originally scheduled for a release in January for Europe and Japan before following to North America. Back in December we the heard that shipping had been delayed until February and as you may have noticed the device still hasn’t released. However, it’s now reported that the new Toughpad UT-MB5 tablet could finally start shipping.
Panasonic PR reps recently said that the UT-MB5 had begun shipping in February, but Neowin couldn’t find any indication of the tablet being available for sale. However, Rugged Mobile Computing pointed to their webpage for the tablet, which says that orders will begin taken from March 10, with a rep giving estimated shipping dates of between March 10 and April 3.
Panasonic has given a price of $5,999 for the device although the above retailer is to sell it at $5,215. For this you’ll get a tablet powered by a 1.9GHz Intel Core i5 processor, a 20-inch display with resolution of 3840 x 2560, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage, although other configurations will be available. The tablet runs the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system. Have you been waiting for the arrival of the Toughpad UT-MB5 4K 20-inch tablet?
