We’ve been following the progress of Android 4.4 KitKat updates and just a few days after we reported that Android 4.4.2 for the Galaxy S4 was beginning to arrive for the handset in parts of Europe, a US carrier has now climbed aboard. The Samsung Galaxy S4 on T-Mobile Android 4.4.2 update is now rolling out and brings the device to KitKat build M919UVUFNB4.
T-Mobile has announced the update will begin being pushed out today, and it’s available as an over-the-air update or by using Samsung Kies. It brings the joys of Android KitKat with improvements for stability, a new camera shortcut from the lock screen, enhancements to the on-screen keyboard and more.
You should check you have at least 50% battery charge on your GS4 before you begin updating. Check out the full details of the update at the T-Mobile support source below, where you can see instructions for downloading and a list of prerequisites. Are you happy to hear that this update for your Galaxy S4 is now good to go?
