Consumers over in India have a sometimes bewildering choice of Android smartphones available to purchase, which can only be a good thing really. Today we are looking at the Micromax Canvas Knight vs. Gionee Elife E7 in a specs fight.
The Micromax Canvas Knight was made available to consumers earlier this month, while the Gionee Elife E7 was launched late last year with a release coming shortly afterwards.
Display
The Gionee Elife E7 has a 5.5-inch IPS LCD Full HD display with a pixel density of 401ppi, which compares to the Canvas Knight that has a 5-inch Full HD IPS LCD display with 441ppi.
Processor
The Canvas Knight has the Octa core MediaTek MT6592T processor clocked at 2GHz under the hood, while the Elife E7 uses the quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at either 2.2GHz or 2.5GHz depending the model.
RAM & Storage
The Gionee Elife E7 has 2GB of RAM inside the 16GB model or 3GB of RAM on the 32GB version, while the Canvas Knight has 32GB of un-expandable storage with 2GB of RAM.
Cameras
On the rear of the Micromax we have a 16MP camera capable of 1080p video capture at 30fps with an 8MP unit around the front, which compares to the Elife 7 that has a similar setup.
Operating System
Running on the Gionee is the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system while the Canvas is also using this version of Android.
Battery
Powering up the Canvas Knight is a 2,350 power pack which compares to the 2,500 mAh unit on the Gionee 7.
