The Sony Xperia Z2 will be released in a few weeks time as we see pre-orders for the device begin in certain regions, and before then we have a Sony Xperia Z2 video review that provides some early insight into the handset.

Yesterday we heard from online retailer Clove about some upcoming wireless charging accessories for the Sony Xperia Z2, and now the retailer has posted a video review of the device to YouTube that we have embedded for your viewing pleasure below.

The video is just over nine minutes long and kicks off giving us a description of the smartphone and its features. We see the handset subjected to some water punishment as well as weighed before we get a description of the Xperia Z2 display and its performance.

There is a look at the Android overlay that Sony has added to the 4.4.2 KitKat operating system and a run through some of the features such as the double tap that will wake the handset up. The new speakers are spoken about and while they are a vast improvement over the old model they still fell short of the HTC One.
