Wearable technology seems to be a real upward trend at the moment with devices such as the Samsung Galaxy Gear bringing the idea of smartwatches to a larger market. Apple is also developing an iWatch and there has been talk for some time of a Google Nexus smartwatch. There were rumors that a Google watch would release last year although that didn’t arise, but now it looks very much as though we could be hearing something official before too much longer.
A new leak, from a trusty source of this type of news on upcoming devices, has given some specs for an LG-made Google smartwatch and it’s possible that Google may finally unveil the device at its I/O conference in June. Unconfirmed specs given are a 1.65-inch IPS LCD display with resolution of 280 x 280, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of internal storage.
As Nexus devices are aimed at having decent specs at affordable price tags, it seems likely that the Google smartwatch will also be reasonably priced. There have also been rumors that Google is working on a version of Android focused on smartwatch use, so this would seem another likely inclusion. Would you be interested in a Google Smartwatch?
