Many of you out there are likely to be waiting to get your hands on the Samsung Galaxy S5 flagship smartphone that was recently announced. It releases next month and steps up from the 13-megapixel rear camera of the Galaxy S4 to a 16-megapixel camera that features ISOCELL technology with improved pixel architecture.
Benefits of this technology include better results in low-light conditions and enhanced back-side illumination. ISOCELL sensors are also claimed to be thinner than BSI sensors enabling smartphones with very slim designs, but it can be difficult to get your head around exactly how this technology works.
The YouTube video that we’ve embedded at the bottom of this article does a good job of explaining more about ISOCELL camera sensor technology. It was produced by Samsung to give more information about the technology, and although it’s pretty complex it does help to give more of an idea of what’s behind it and how it works in a concise way.
Are you looking forward to testing out this camera technology for yourself when the Samsung Galaxy S5 releases?
