The 2013 Nexus 7 has been with us for the best part of a year now and it seems as if the device didn’t quite match the success of the previous model, but now another price cut has raised the hopes of a new model release possibility.
In the UK office supplier Staples has slashed the price of the 2013 Nexus 7 to only £149.99 for the 16GB Wi-Fi only model, which is a saving of £50, and easily beats what Google will sell you the device for.
Those looking to pick one up at this price can also get free in store delivery by ordering online, and can be picked up the next working day. This news comes after we told you earlier that Verizon Wireless in the US had also cut the price of the device, although this was on the condition of a new two year contract.
If more retailers start discounting the device it could mean that a new model is getting closer and high stock levels will need clearing beforehand. There have been rumours this year that Google are going to ditch the Nexus 7 in favour of an 8-inch version, but until it is announced or enters Google Play we won’t know for sure.
Are you going to pick up a Nexus 7 2013 at this price?
