Indian smartphone manufacturer Micromax are constantly launching new Android handsets at a variety of prices, and today we are looking at the recently launched Micromax Canvas Knight vs. Canvas 4 as the two handsets are compared.
Last year saw the launch of the Micromax Canvas 4 while earlier this month the company provided consumers with the Canvas Knight.
Display
The Micromax Canvas Knight features a 5-inch Full HD IPS LCD display with 441ppi, which compares to the Canvas 4 that uses a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen at a resolution of 720 x 1280 and 294ppi.
Processor
Under the hood of the Micromax Canvas 4 is the quad core Mediatek MT6589 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, while the Canvas Knight has an Octa core MediaTek MT6592T processor clocked at 2GHz.
RAM & Storage
The new Canvas Knight has 2GB of RAM with 32GB of storage that is not expandable, while the Canvas 4 has 1GB of RAM with 16GB of built in storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
Operating System
The Canvas 4 is currently running the Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean operating system, while the Canvas Knight is surprisingly on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
Cameras
On the rear of the Micromax Canvas Knight we have a 16MP camera capable of 1080p video capture at 30fps with an 8MP unit around the front, while the Canvas 4 has a 13MP rear facer capable of 180p video capture paired with a 5MP front facer.
Battery
The newest Micromax handset has a 2,350 mAh battery compared to the Canvas 4 that comes with a 2,000 mAh unit.
