If you have the Google Nexus 7 tablet you may be very interested in this next snippet of news. Xiaomi has made its tablet-optimized MIUI Android ROM available as an open beta, and the Nexus 7 2013 (Nexus 7 2) is being treated to it first.

Xiaomi is keen to note that this features “brand new architecture” and content enhanced for both landscape and portrait orientations of the tablet, and is not just a version of MIUI V5 that has been scaled up. Xiaomi is also inviting tablet vendors who might want their devices to ship with MIUI to contact the company.
