Earlier this month we informed readers that the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update had been made available for the LG G2 international version via an unofficial download and also told how the update would be ready for the LG G2 in the UK in March. The good news today is that the international LG G2 is now getting the official Android 4.4 update in the form of 4.4.2.
Some US carriers have already made this update available for their variants of the LG G2 and it has previously rolled out for South Korea, so users in other regions will be pleased to hear that Android 4.4.2 is now available as an OTA (over-the-air) update. You’ll find improvements for the user interface, battery life and performance, printing in the cloud, and the Knock on feature.
Bear in mind though, that as is often the case with updates you may need to be a little patient, as they often roll out in phases over several days or even weeks. However, it’s good to hear that the LG G2 international model is finally set to receive KitKat. It would be good to hear from readers as they receive the Android 4.4.2 for the LG G2.
