There’s huge anticipation for the release next month of the Samsung Galaxy S5. We’re finally starting to hear pricing for various regions and carriers and now Sprint, T-Mobile and RadioShack in the US have all laid their cards on the table.
Yesterday we gave readers details of pre-orders and the price of the phone on AT&T and US Cellular, so if you want that information head here. T-Mobile has now announced that it will begin taking pre-orders for the Galaxy S5 on March 24th and that those who pre-order will be offered an ‘introductory price.’
Buyers who qualify for this can pre-order without paying anything down and then pay $27.50 monthly. That would make the full price $660, very close to the off-contract price at AT&T. Those customers who pre-order the phone before the end of this month at T-Mobile will receive a $120 credit that can be put towards a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (with data plan while stocks last). T-Mobile hasn’t yet said what the price will be once the introductory offer is over.
Moving on to Sprint where pre-orders are open right now, with a price of $199 on the usual two-year contract after a $50 mail-in rebate. If you don’t want to be tied to a contract the price is $649, or alternatively you can use the Sprint Easy Pay plan with no down payment required and then payments of $27.09 monthly over two years. Sprint is offering a free Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 (data plan with two-year agreement required) to those who buy the Galaxy S5 on a Sprint Framily plan.
Finally we get to RadioShack where pre-orders also start today and those who pre-order will get a $50 discount. Radio Shack is also offering between $75 and $300 credit towards the cost of a Galaxy S5 with its Trade and Save program. This is a good option if you can hand over an unused but working handset.
The phone will release on April 11th, so there’s not too much longer to wait until you can get your hands on it. Head to any of the above carrier links for more information or to check out the small print. Will you pre-order your Samsung Galaxy S5?
