Sony Xperia SP Android 4.4 update most wanted
Last month the Sony Xperia SP begun receiving the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update that gives the handset a nice new feel and performance, but the Android 4.4 KitKat update is most wanted among owners of the smartphone.
We also heard last month that the Android 4.4 KitKat update for the Sony Xperia SP was being looked into by Sony, which could mean that the handset could at some point get treated to a taste of KitKat.
Now it is being reported that a petition has been started that is looking to persuade Sony to upgrade the Xperia SP to Android 4.4 KitKat, but it has to be remembered that Sony hasn’t said the device won’t be getting the new firmware eventually.
At the time of writing the petition has got 194 signatures out of its 200 goal, and the Sony Xperia SP should be able to handle the new firmware given the fact it has been designed to run on hardware with 512MB of RAM, while the SP has 1GB.
Do you think Sony will upgrade the Xperia SP to KitKat?
