We’ve been hearing leaks for a while about upcoming Nokia Lumia 930 and 630 smartphones and recently informed of a rumor saying that some Lumia devices were likely to be unveiled on April 2nd. That has now come to fruition as a Nokia event has been confirmed for that date with new Lumias on the agenda, so it looks as though the Lumia 630 and 930 might be about to be made official.
It’s expected that Microsoft will take the wraps off the Windows Phone 8.1 at the Build event from April 2 through April 4, and that would tie in nicely with the Lumia 630 and Lumia 930, as both are expected to release running WP8.1. Nokia has now issued invitations to the Wednesday April 2 event at 5pm in San Francisco that contain the words “more Lumia.”
There are no details given about exactly what Lumia news will be given, but the 930 and 630 handsets look like a distinct possibility as well as the Lumia 635, thought to be a dual-SIM version of the 630. There’s not too much longer to wait until the event takes place, and as usual we’ll be bringing all the news as it unfolds. Are you hoping to see these new Lumia phones made official?
