The Samsung Galaxy S5 was originally launched last month at the MWC event in Spain but a couple of days ago the smartphone got its official launch in India, and now pre-orders for the handset have begun for the device in the country.

As we reported previously the device will be priced at between Rs. 51,000 and Rs. 53,000 while the company will reveal the exact price when the Galaxy S5 is released in India on April 11th. Those wanting to pick up the handset can now pre-order one via the official Samsung eStore.

The pre-order price is Rs. 1,500 and as reported before the company is offering 15 percent cash back for those purchasing the Galaxy S5 with a Citibank credit card once the balance is settled. Consumers in India are getting access to the Charcoal Black, Electric Blue, Copper Gold, and Shimmery White colour options.
