There has been plenty of talk about what may appear at the Microsoft BUILD event from April 2nd to 4th, and two of the handsets that are expected to launch there are the Nokia Lumia 630 and 930. The latest rumor now suggests that the Lumia 930 is not yet ready to appear, but also gives the promising news that the Windows Phone 8.1 update may release in early May.
Many Windows Phone device owners are eagerly waiting for WP 8.1 and a leak said to be from “trusted sources” says that the Developer Preview will arrive on April 8th with a public release in the form of an OTA update in early May. While we cannot verify this it seems like a promising indicator.
As far as the Lumia 930 goes, this has often been mentioned at the same time as the Lumia 630 for an official introduction at the BUILD conference. However, whereas there have been several leaks now about the Lumia 630, there has been a lot less come to light about the higher-end 930. The same source says that Lumia 930 will not now launch at the event, as it will not be ready in time.
We’ll be passing on news as we hear it so do check back with us from time to time. Are you waiting for the Lumia 630, Lumia 930 or the Windows Phone 8.1 update to release?
