Most of the talk about the next iPhone release from Apple has been about the size of the screen, but a new report is tipping the iPhone 6 with camera spec that could be a game changer.
Recently we heard about some iPhone 6 schematic drawings that showed the device could have a 5.7-inch display, while before there was talk that Apple would concentrate on quality over pixel count.
Now a new patent has been discovered that is titled “Bayonet attachment mechanisms”, and shows a way that the company could use interchangeable lenses that don’t make the handset too unattractive once the lens is removed, unlike some third party accessories that we have seen.
The patent shows that the bayonet attachments for the lenses would be hidden inside the housing of the handset, and the company has also come up with a way for the lens to come away from the handset if it was dropped while attached to the iPhone.
Of course there is no guarantee that the patent will be used in the next iPhone model or ever see the light of day at all, but it could provide a smartphone camera to beat the competition. In the meantime you may want to take a look at the iPhone 6 concept we had for you earlier today.
Do you like the idea of this patent?
