There’s some great news today for owners of the Nokia Asha 500, 501, 502, 503 and 230 single SIM and dual SIM Phones as they are now receiving the Asha 1.4 update. This brings plenty of new features and improvements and Nokia has announced that it has started rolling out today as an OTA (over-the-air) update.
Owners of these devices will receive notification that the update is ready for their handset, but if you don’t get a push notification you can check manually by heading to Settings followed by Phone Updates. One of the key offerings with the Nokia Asha Software Platform update 4.1 is the Nokia MixRadio free music streaming service (not for the Asha 230).
Other changes are the ability to upload photos to a personal online gallery on OneDrive, voice guided self-portrait and panorama modes in camera, Parental control, improvements to Fastlane, Smart Dual SIM functionality (for dual SIM versions) and more. The update also includes the usual performance and stability improvements. You can see more about the update in the official Nokia YouTube video that we’ve embedded below this story.
Are you among the first Nokia Asha owners to receive the 4.1 update? Why not let us know what you think of the changes and improvements that it brings?
