iWatch September launch cited by industry sources
We’ve been reporting on the development of the Apple iWatch for some time now and although we expected it to become available, we haven’t yet been able to narrow down a release date. However, an iWatch September launch is now being cited by industry sources, although of course this is not official at this stage.
We’ve seen many leaks and rumors now on the iWatch, including a Healthbook app and the possibility of a sapphire glass display, but now it looks as though an availability timeframe is firming up. As well as giving news of an unveiling in September, industry insiders also say that some iWatch components have already been sent to Apple for validation.
These components are said to be samples from flexible PCB suppliers Flexium Interconect, Zhen Ding Technology Holding and Career technology. This latest news backs up another recent report from the Economic Daily, which said that Apple had requested suppliers to start shipping items for the iWatch by August.
It looks like it might not be too much longer until we see much more on the iWatch including the first leaked images, but you may be interested in a recent concept design for now. Are you waiting for the Apple iWatch?
