Nokia 225 and dual SIM version budget phones announced
With the many high-end smartphones available now, it’s easy to forget that there’s still big demand for lower-end devices and feature phones. The Nokia 225 and a dual SIM version have just been announced by Nokia, a Series 30+ feature phone that will have an extremely affordable price of around €40 for the single SIM variety.
That’s equivalent to around $55, £33 or Rs. 3,315, although prices may vary by market. The Nokia 225 will release in various world regions at some time in the next three months. This handset has a 2.8-inch QVGA display, a microSD slot for up to 32GB, 2-megapixel camera with QVGA @ 15fps video recording, Bluetooth 3.0 with SLAM, and a battery life claimed to offer around 21 hours of talk time or 36 days of standby (27 for the 225 dual-SIM).
The handset is 10.4mm thick, weighing in at 100g, has an FM radio with RDS and can be used as an MP3 player. Twitter, Facebook and Bing search all come pre-installed. Color options of the Nokia 225 are black, green, red, white, and yellow.
