Sprint WeGo kids phone includes safety features
The Galaxy S5 from Samsung isn’t the only phone that is being introduced on Sprint today, as the WeGo kids phone has also been released. This aims to be an affordable mobile for children between the ages of 5 and 12, and it not only has plenty of safety features but also a tracking function.
With the Sprint WeGo parents can regulate the use of the phone via the WeGo Portal that enables tracking via GPS. Parents can also program the phone to connect only those incoming and outgoing calls that have been set, and this also applies to messages. It’s a simple device to use and also features a panic alarm that sounds a loud buzzer when the tether string is pulled. If this is activated, parents receive an SMS showing where the child is.
The WeGo is also shatterproof up to a drop distance of 12 feet and is water resistant. The phone can be purchased today by existing customers adding a line to their account for $0 down and $5 monthly payments for 24-months. A WeGo Service that includes 1,000 talk minutes and 1,000 text messages has a price of $9.99 monthly. Do you think this kind of mobile device is a great idea for kids?
