While we may only be in the fourth month of 2014 Lava has already launched a number of new smartphones, and now the Lava Iris 450 will bring Colour choices for consumers in India.

The Lava Iris 450 Colour has now been officially launched in India and will allow owners to personalize the device by adding different colour rear covers to the device. The handset itself features a 4.5-inch display at a resolution of 480 x 854, which is powered by a dual core processor running at a clock speed of 1.3Ghz.

There is also 512MB of RAM running the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, and the handset has 4GB of internal storage that is expandable by a further 32GB via microSD card. On the back is a 5MP camera with LED flash while around the front is a VGA shooter.

The handset has a 1,800 mAh battery which is promised to provide up to 9 hours of 2G talk time, or 8 hours of 3G. It will cost Rs. 7,999 and comes in Pro Black and Ivory White colour options, while each device will come with an extra flip cover in the same colour and one replacement rear cover in a different colour.
