LG phone sales rising nicely before G3 release
LG hasn’t always enjoyed the most successful of times in its mobile division but it seems as if the company’s phone sales are rising nicely ahead of the release of the LG G3 in the coming months.
While over the last couple of years the company has enjoyed success with the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 handsets, its mobile device arm of the company has not been as successful at it would have hoped. Now though a report coming out of Korea is claiming that LG will sell 5 million handsets in a single month for the first time.
LG’s previous record was 4.4 million smartphones in a month during the fourth quarter of last year, and is on course to beat its best ever sales during the second quarter. This was last year where the company managed to ship 12 million units but is now expected to shift 15 million this time around.
The company is also being tipped to make a profit from its mobile division that has stayed still due to an increase in marketing costs, but LG’s success is being put down to its lower cost handsets although the likes of the LG G Pro 2 and the upcoming LG G3 are expected to aid sales figures.
Have you considered an LG handset for the first time recently?
