Many smartphone owners will want to provide some level of protection to a new handset via some sort of case or bumper, or even just a screen protector. The Samsung Galaxy S5 Survivor case from Griffin will protect your handset though even from a 6 foot drop.
The Griffin Survivor Clear case for the Samsung Galaxy S5 only costs £19.99 but the clear polycarbonate case gives the device some ultimate protection. It has been designed to protect the smartphone from vibration thanks to its TPE rubber at the corners and edges.
It will also offer impact protection from drops up to 6 foot in height and the edges of the case provide extra grip, while still offering easy access to all of the handsets ports and controls. To fully test the case the company dropped the handset onto a concrete floor from 6 feet, and subjected the device to 18 hours of vibration from 20 to 2000 cycles per second.
The case can be purchased from here along with a number of other accessories from the company, but you may want to have a look at our earlier article looking at the official Galaxy S5 cases. There is also the Proporta range we reported about, or some from OtterBox.
