Nokia is pretty proud of the camera technology used in its Lumia devices and a lot has already been written about the Lumia 1020 and it’s 41-megapixel rear camera set-up. Now Nokia is to get a chance to show just how good it is, as the phone’s camera will be used to document an underwater diving expedition led by Fabien Cousteau.
This is dubbed Mission 31 and involves Cousteau and his team spending a mammoth 31 days underwater, which would beat the time of 30 days set way back in 1963 by Fabien’s grandfather, the legendary Jacques Cousteau. The mission will take place off the coast of the Florida Keys and the Lumia 1020 used to document it.
You can get involved as Nokia is asking people to share their own adventure images and videos using the hashtag #NokiaMission31. Once you’ve done this you can use the URL from your social media entry on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram or Vine, to take part in a special contest for a chance to win your own amazing adventure.
The YouTube video from Nokia that you can view below this story gives information about the competition, and if you’re lucky enough you could be flown to Florida for a luxury hotel stay where you’ll learn open water diving. After this you’ll even get to dive with Fabien Cousteau and the Mission 31 team. Will you be sharing your own adventurous story for a chance to win this amazing prize?
