The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 and Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 have been out a while now but it looks as though their availability is about to spread further. News from an often-reliable source suggests that the Kindle Fire HDX 7, 8.9 could both be heading to Verizon.
Prolific leaker @evleaks has come up with this latest snippet and also says that the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 and 10.1 are also coming to Big Red. We’re not surprised to hear that Verizon will be selling the Samsung tablets as we’ve already reported on the Tab 4 8.0 and 10.1 being spotted at the FCC with Verizon branding.
There’s no news yet on whether the Kindle Fire HDX 7 and 8.9 are LTE versions for Verizon’s network, although that would seem likely, and pricing hasn’t been detailed either. However, the Kindle Fire HDX 7 LTE sells at $300 on Amazon while the 8.9-inch version is priced at $494.
Although there’s been no word yet from Verizon or Amazon about the carrier offering these tablets, this source doesn’t often get it wrong so we’re likely to be hearing something official soon.
