We always try to keep readers in the loop about updates for their devices and today there’s news for readers with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. An update recently arrived for the T-Mobile US variant of this phone and now the same Samsung Galaxy Note 3 update is arriving for the international model of the smartphone.
This update brings the benefit of some of the features of the Galaxy S5 to the Galaxy Note 3, including Kids Mode and Download Booster, as well as a KNOX update to version 2.0. It has build number N9005XXUFNF4 and is 185MB in size, and it has already started to appear for some owners of the Note 3 in the UK.
Once an update of this kind appears for one region it quickly spreads to further countries, although you may need to be a little patient as the time usually varies by country and carrier. If you really can’t bear to wait until you receive notification that the update is ready you can try checking manually by heading to Settings followed by General followed by About Phone and then Software Updates Menu.
It’s worth noting that if you’re looking forward to the Kids Mode feature, you’ll still need to download the necessary files once you receive the installer that this update brings. Remember the firmware update that is now starting to roll out is for the international variant of the Galaxy Note 3 (model number SM-N9005).
If you are one of the fortunate owners of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to be among the first to receive this update, let us know what you think of the changes it brings by sending us your comments. Also it would be interesting to track the regional availability of this update so do let us know which country you’re in.
