There has been a lot of criticism aimed towards Samsung in the last few months regarding the speed and process of getting hardware updated to a later version of the Android operating system. Now while we wait for Android L a Samsung Galaxy Android 4.4 KitKat update schedule leaks that again shows the international Galaxy S3 missing out.
It has been a while now since owners of the GT-I9300 version of the Galaxy S3 discovered they were going have to make do with the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware, which has been riddled with bugs ever since it was first released.
Now a new schedule has emerged that again shows that the KitKat update for the international Galaxy S3 has been cancelled, but a number of other phones should start seeing the new firmware at some point in July.
These include the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo, Galaxy S4 Mini, Galaxy Mega 5.8, Galaxy Mega 6.3, and Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 Duos. Of course the update will take a while to reach all the different variants of these handsets that also include carrier models.
The update should also start arriving over the air in the coming weeks so keep a check on your device for when the new firmware is ready.
Are you looking forward to this update?
