The smartphone market in India offers a wide choice, and today two new HTC phones have arrived on the scene. The HTC Desire 616 and One E8 have both been priced at the launch for India and we have price details and specs coming right up.
We’ll start with the cheaper of these two dual SIM phones and the Desire 616 has a Rs. 16,900 price tag. Specs include a 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor, Mali-450MP4 graphics, a 5-inch display with resolution of 1280 x 720 and 294 ppi, 1GB of RAM, and 4GB of internal storage, expandable to 32GB via microSD.
Further Desire 616 specs include an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash, and 1080p video capture, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and 2000 mAh battery. It runs the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system, and connectivity includes 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPRS, EDGE, and microUSB 2.0. Dimensions are 142mm x 71.9mm x 9.2mm and it weighs 150g.
Moving on to the HTC One E8 (pictured above), a cheaper model of the One M8 flagship, this one is priced at Rs. 34,990. One E8 specs include a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 5-inch Super LCD3 display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 and 441 ppi, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage, expandable to 128GB.
Other specs for the One E8 are a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash, and 1080p video capture, a 5-megapixel front-facing unit, and a 2600 mAh battery. It runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat, and connectivity includes 3G, LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPRS, EDGE, and microUSB 2.0. It’s dimensions are 146.4mm x 70.7mm x 9.9mm it weighs 145g.
